02/08/2010 - Can't Hide that Sr. 3 Pride!!
A WAC Sr 3 parent posted this to her wall on Facebook. I had been trying to put in to words what she said so wisely. Thanks Betsy~Despite many set backs, our WAC Sr 3 girls pulled off 4th out of 9 at Cheerpower Nationals! The DEVIL tried to steal their spirit...but they did not let him! Their determination in the face of adversity was second to none! They are ALL 1st place winners to us!NCA, watch out! WAC Sr 3 is STRONG, PROUD, LOUD & without a doubt... #1!
Good job sr. 3 for this weekend..we had some tough stuff happen to us but we did our best and we still have NCA nationals! - Kelsey's Facebook post.
Standing in the coaches box when Sr 3 set they had changed what they normally say to "We love you Kasey" and it brought tears to her eyes (and mine of course for anyone who knows me) ~ Cindy
You know Jacki, maybe things were supposed to happen the way they did, although we WANTED them to turn out differently. The blessing here is, that we are not supossed to understand why things happen, but trust and believe that there is a bigger prize to be had, and the girls responded with this kind of attitude. To me, this was the victory! This ... See More was a lesson that NO parent or coach could teach, about the importance and value of EVERY team member, and of working together as a team. Even in her physical pain and heartache over not being able to perform, Kasey came and supported her teammates and friends. I think the whole situation has taught the girls, and even the parents, lessons that might have never be learned or appreciated. Lessons of hope for the victories that can be, appreciation for the victories that have been, dignity in defeat, the value of friendships and teammates, appreciation for coaches and parents that sacrifice so much for them to do what they love, and ability to find the determination to keep going. They ARE AMAZING athletes, and ALWAYS #1! THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!!! BTW...We do love you Kasey, and a special thanks to Danielle for stepping in and up to the challenge! You were awesome! I know it wasn't easy for you, and you left in pain. Hope both of you are feeling better VERY soon! ~ Kesley's mom, Betsy
Way to go girls on a Regional Season well done! We swept 3 competitions, won 24 first places, 2 second, and 2 third places! We had 5 High point wins, with some other specialty awards including best dance, best stunts and innovative choreography! All of our teams and individuals have done a great job! Let's keep it up for Nationals! We're so proud of you!

02/04/2007 - American Cheer Power Nationals 2007
WAC attended the American Cheer Power Nationals competition in San Antonio on Feb 2 - 4, 2007. Friday night the juniors gave a strong performance putting them in 2nd place after prelims and ahead of teams that we had trouble beating all year. They were pumped up and came back very confident Saturday morning to give a strong 2nd place finish and earning them a bid to the Final Destination in Baltimore, MD! Way to go girls, we are so proud of you! Next was Parent Challenge. A group of parents/coaches put a routine together to go out there and perform ourselves. This is something fun for us each year because its a time to relax with no worries and just give back to the girls what they do each year. We also had Anna with us, one of our team members foreign exchange student from Switzerland. Coming to Texas and being able to cheer had always been a dream for her, and we are so glad we could make that come true! Later that evening Show team performed and they did so awesome! As they were getting set on the floor we heard this guy start talking and little did we know it was Danny proposing to Amanda, our show team coach! We were not expecting this at all, and it was so awesome! Seniors took the mat giving a strong performance in a very tough division. We were in 4th place after prelims by 4 points. The girls knew how close it was and how bad they wanted it, so they took it to the mat Sunday afternoon with the best performance all year long! They put everything they had into it and knew how awesome they did as soon as they finished the routine! They were able to come back with a very close 2nd place finish and also earning a bid to the Final Destination! We are so proud of all of our teams this year. They have done an amazing job! Keep up the hard work, we love you!
